Teren

Licensed Master Social Work

Hi, I’m Teren. I was born and raised in rural Utah, where I earned my background in psychology and family science with education from Southern Utah University and Utah Valley University. I moved to Idaho to pursue personal growth and new opportunities to follow my passion for helping others, which led me to Boise State University where I graduated with a MSW degree.

I’ve had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including schools as a school social worker and behavior interventionist, crisis centers doing CPI case management, a Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) clinic as a technician, and as a direct support professional for adults with developmental disabilities. I also served as a previous agency’s Team Wellness Leader where I began to develop a devotion to a holistic view of well-being. Outside of work, I’m passionate about being outdoors with my dogs and sports like snowboarding, volleyball, tennis, and softball.

I enjoy working with both children and adults, and I use a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach to help people tap into the resilience and resources they already have within themselves. I’ve been told I bring a warm, friendly, and empathetic energy to my work, where I value connection and trust first.
