Monica

LMSW

Hi, I’m Monica (she/her), a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) who works primarily with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), psychosis, and other complex mental health concerns. Trauma is the foundation of my clinical work, and I have extensive experience helping clients understand and heal from the lasting effects of traumatic experiences. I also have a growing clinical focus on working with individuals experiencing psychosis, OCD, and other severe or persistent mental health symptoms.

My therapeutic approach is client-centered, attachment-focused, trauma-informed, and strengths-based. I strive to create a space where clients feel genuinely heard, respected, and understood while working collaboratively toward meaningful, lasting change.

I earned my MSW from Boise State University in 2016 and a BS in Psychology with an emphasis in child development from the University of Idaho in 2013. My professional background includes trauma, crisis intervention, and working with individuals and families impacted by abuse, neglect, addiction, and systemic adversity. These experiences have shaped my understanding of how trauma, relationships, and life experiences influence mental health across the lifespan.

Whether someone is healing from trauma, living with intrusive thoughts, hearing voices, struggling with overwhelming anxiety, or managing multiple mental health challenges at once, my goal is to meet them with curiosity rather than judgment. I believe healing begins when people feel safe enough to be fully themselves and know they do not have to face their struggles alone.

I provide therapy for adults through both in-person and Telehealth sessions.

Outside of work, I enjoy exploring the Boise foothills with my dog, reading books that feed both mind and spirit, journaling, trying new recipes, and spending time in nature.
