Melissa

LMSW

Hi, I’m Melissa (she/her), a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW). My therapeutic approach is rather eclectic, pulling from a variety of modalities to best meet the needs of the individual client. I have an extensive background working with trauma, anxiety and depressive disorders. My approach is client-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed. I enjoy working with adolescents and adults both individually and within the couple/family dynamic.
I earned my MSW from Boise State University in 2024 and a BS in Psychology in 2007. Prior to obtaining my Social Work License I spent over ten years working in Family Preservation, providing education and support to individuals and families involved with both the juvenile justice and child welfare systems. Through this work I developed a passion for helping others by meeting the client where they are, and working together to help them gain a better understanding of themselves and how they can achieve their goals.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with friends doing silly hobbies that keep me active while reminding me to enjoy myself and not take everything too seriously. I also enjoy reading, am an avid sports fan, and have a profound love of music.
