Fiona

Peer Support Specialist

I’m Fiona! I was adopted from China at around 9 months and have spent most of my life in Boise. I’m super excited to be a part of ABM’s team as a Peer/Youth Support Specialist. I want to create an environment where everyone, especially underrepresented and marginalized communities, feels supported and can prioritize themselves throughout recovery and life itself.
I enjoy spending time outside, whether it’s on a trail, walking the Boise Greenbelt, or on a patio with good company & food.
My senior dog Ollie has been part of my family for almost ten years; he is the dog we all needed. I’m beyond grateful for the way he’s brought us all closer together.
Currently I’m working on maintaining my single-digit day streak on Duolingo to refresh my very rusty French, and learning Spanish. I love trying new activities and am actively challenging myself to find creative outlets (painting random things, going to Ceramica, and whatever else intrigues me) that bring me joy, without worrying about how “good” the final product is.
I firmly believe that community and great people in your corner (family, providers, friends, pets, etc.) make life to feel lighter, even during the hard times.
Can’t wait to connect and keep growing!
